Excel Scientific offers serological pipets with significant advantages in a variety of tip styles -- standard, wide, and open-end -- for transferring liquids and suspensions of different viscosities. All pipets are virgin polystyrene, certified pyrogen-free and non-cytotoxic. Non-toxic color-coded cotton plugs provide easy size identification.
Sizes from 1 mL to 25 mL have unique smooth one-piece construction. There are no seams at the mouthpiece or tip ends, thus no possibility of sample hang-up or accidental breakage due to irregularities or weakness. One-piece construction also provides improved accuracy with calibration to deliver (TD) at ±1.5%.
Sizes from 5 mL to 25 mL are two inches shorter than other typical pipettes, for ease of use under benchtop hoods especially with pipet bulbs and controllers. In addition, new 5 mL and 10 mL "Shorty" pipets now available are even shorter than the standard models, for ease of use in really tight spots.
Open-end and wide-tip pipets yield faster flow rates and reduce shearing for food, meat, cosmetics, oils, paint, sludge and cell-culture applications. The 1.1 mL and 2.2 mL bacteriological pipets meet the A.P.H.A. standards for examination of dairy products.
Sterile pipets are available individually wrapped or bulk packaged. Individually wrapped sterile pipets are provided in static-free, one-side-paper one-side-plastic packaging that can be opened by peeling the end or by pushing the pipet through the paper side.
Sterile individually-wrapped aspirator pipets are uncalibrated, with no volume marks and no cotton plugs, providing ease and economy for media-aspiration applications where volume measurement is not required. They eliminate breakage and safety concerns that arise when glass Pasteur pipets are
used.
