High-Clarity Sealing Film for qPCR and Protein CrystallizationVictorville, CA. January 12, 2009. New ThermalSeal RTSTM films from Excel Scientific combine clear 50 µm polyolefin with a 50 µm encapsulated silicone adhesive layer for superior performance in real-time qPCR, crystallization, and storage applications. The chemically inert silicone is non-tacky for easy handling until pressed to a microplate, releasing adhesive in sealing areas only. Adhesion is the strongest available for evaporation protection. The films are RNase and DNase free, DMSO resistant, and exhibit minimal auto-fluorescence. They are sized to fit within the rim of any standard raised-rim plate.
