New Black Sealing Films Aid in Fluorescence and Photo-ProtectionWrightwood, CA. November 29, 2006. New AbsorbMaxTM adhesive films are 200 µm thickness, light-absorptive black vinyl, shaped to fit either the top or bottom of 96-well, 384-well, or 1536-well microplates. Typically used with black microplates, AbsorbMax films can protect light-sensitive samples during storage or minimize stray light, reflection, and well-to-well crosstalk in fluorescence assays. AbsorbMax films are sized to fit within the rims of raised-rim plates. Available either sterile or non-sterile, they are recommended for temperatures from -40 °C to +80 °C.
